The ISP Online Platform was launched in its beta stage in the spring. Some of our alumni signed up already then, and gave valuable feedback about the functionality and features on the site. Thank you for that!
We then launched the site to a wider audience at the beginning of September, and are pleased to see that over 100 new members have signed up within the past 30 days. While this is great news, it's less than 2 % of our alumni, so we'll need to continue recruiting! There are between 5 000 and 10 000 ISP alumni around the globe, but this is just a rough estimate as we don't have reliable records from the early years of the school. In any case, it's a large group!
We'd like to thank all of you who have signed up to this platform already, and hope that you'll continue inviting your friends and family to join. Remember, our Alumni includes anyone who has ever been a part of the ISP community. Former students, parents, staff, interns and volunteers are all cherished members of the ISP family. It doesn’t matter how long you were at the school or if you left before graduating: If you spent time at ISP, you shared what many have described as a life-changing experience and you will always find a special home with us.
The online tools are all the more important these days, as the COVID-19 pandemic is preventing us from organizing Alumni Reunions or Class Meetings in person. However, we have decided to create a series of Zoom sessions around various topics, and will be inviting our alumni to connect that way instead. We recently held our first Zoom to celebrate the World Teachers' Day, and had a lively chat among the participants, sharing memories and catching up with each other. Watch this space for information about the future zooms, which will be arranged in various times, to facilitate participation from different timezones around the globe!
Meanwhile, let's make the best use of the online platform by making connections, sharing stories, signing up as mentors, looking for support and giving it to one another. As always, you are most welcome to send your questions, suggestions or ideas to us at
